Eglinton Community Park Garden is one of the most peaceful and relaxing place around even if the garden is quite close to the road. Over there, you can learn how to grow organic products.
As a volunteer, I first started filming volunteers planting, watering and harvesting in their garden. The best thing about this program is that all the product grown is donated to a local nonprofit helping the most vulnerable people in the area.
Then, I came back to the garden to film a workshop organized by the Toronto Green Community.
So, I am committed to keep on filming and making some video-editing to promote their programs.
Last week, to thank all the volunteers for their hard work, the Garden manager invited us to an Harvest Party. Ben and myself tried organic food from the garden; a warm apple cider, bits of pumpkins, two types of pesto, homemade pizzas and even a dark beer made with the garden's hops by a volunteer. That was truly delightful. Everything was perfect except the huge amount of mosquitoes ready to bite every single piece of our flesh.

Eglinton Community Garden Park est l'un des endroit le plus paisible et relaxant dans notre quartier, même si le jardin est assez proche de la route. Là-bas, grace a l'association, vous pouvez apprendre à cultiver des produits organiques. En tant que bénévole, j'ai commencé par filmer les bénévoles entrain de planter, d'arroser et de récolter dans leur jardin. Le point fort du programme est que tous les produits cultivés sont donnes à une associations aidant les personnes les plus démunies.
Puis, je suis revenue dans le jardin pour filmer un autre atelier organisé par The Toronto Green Community.
Je suis donc engagée à continuer de travailler pour l'association afin de pour promouvoir leurs programmes.
La semaine dernière, afin de remercier tous les bénévoles pour leur travail acharné, la responsable du jardin nous a invités à une petite fete. Ben et moi avons deguste les produits organiques du jardin, un cidre de pomme chaud, des morceaux de citrouilles, deux types de pesto, des pizzas faites-maison et même une bière brune faite avec du houblon. C'était vraiment délicieux. Tout était parfait à l'exception des moustiques autour de nous, prets à piquer tous les recoins de notre chair.
