Half-way from camp site number 2: The scenery we wanted to see again... Welcome to the Lords of the Rings valley!
Today was an early rise: it was 5:45am when we folded the tent and packed up our gear. And the morning was miserable: wet and windy, just like the night had been, and we hardly got any sleep at all. The tent was shaking violently and drops of water were coming from the roof, making everything we had wet. Still not discouraged by the turn of events, we hooked up with 2 French guys and started the hike. The weather was dreadful, wet, foggy and windy all the way, but, yet again, the sceneries were stunning. I don’t know what it is: despite the dreadful weather conditions, we just can’t hate this hike. Once at the second refuge, we set up the tent in very windy conditions. The tent has been shaking violently, like possessed. This is promising us a rough night again. But we won’t deny it: this trek is testing the limits of our equipment and our psychological strength. But when we are two doing it, we can always be supportive of each other.
